Christmas gift ideas #4 - Debenhams jewellery!

I had always kind of assumed that Debenhams would be somewhere that my mum would find loads of clothes and jewellery that she loved, and that I would find nothing, but after being given the chance to review a few pieces of jewellery, my opinion has totally changed! I actually found loads of sweet bits of jewellery that I love! They're not anywhere near as expensive as I'd have assumed too, making them perfect for your Secret Santa or stocking filler ideas!

I absolutely LOVE how this necklace looks with a little collared shirt! As you all know, I've only really worn silver jewellery in the last six months, and I'm so glad I've made the change from gold to silver, how nice do these two shades of grey look together!?

I've been on the look-out for some nice pearl earrings after wearing my Primark ones to death, I decided that it was time to get some which wouldn't turn my ears green! These earrings are a lot smaller than I had realised when I ordered them, but I actually prefer them! This cross brooch is absolutely gorgeous too! I have pinned it to my leather jacket and it adds such a lovely detailing to a plain outfit!

I'm on a mission to start collecting lots of sterling silver rings because I'm sick of always having rusty fingers by the end of the day! This raindrop ring is the perfect start to this collection! I absolutely love the shape of the teardrop and it looks great with fingers full of other silver rings too. These stacked rings are lovely and super duper cheap. They're great for when you're in a rush and want that stacked rings look, and you can pick the colours that go best with your current outfit too!

Wednesday Wishlist #12 - Oh My Love clothing! :)

I've been on the lookout for the perfect Christmas/New Years Eve dress for a little while now and it's turning out to be a much harder search than I first thought! I'm just not really sure what I'm after to be honest though! Do I want something sparkly or something simplistic? Do I want something lacy, or sheer, or velvet?! Anyways, during my dress hunt, I have come across some gorgeous pieces on Oh My Love, and not even just for Christmas and New Years, but for all year around. All of the items I've picked are either black or monochrome, but you literally can't go wrong with black, and the little details on each garment are so nice! I'm also going blonde again this Monday (yay it's been years!) and I love the way blonde hair looks with black clothing and red lipstick :)

How gorgeous is this dress?! It has a really 'For Love & Lemons' vibe to it, and I love how it looks styled with an oversized floppy hat. Like most of these garments, it could cater to both Summer and Winter. In Winter it would look lovely with a fur gilet and tights!

This two-piece is so simplistic and lovely! They would look great as separate pieces too with a coloured top or skirt instead, but I love the look of them as a pair. The top would look nice tucked into the skirt with a little concho belt!

I love the triangular cut out in this maxi dress. I think that it has been placed in a really flattering place, as some cut-out dresses can look a bit much. This dress looks a bit chilly for Winter, but with some black tights and a fur coat you might be able to get away with it!? I'm tempted to order it in advance for Summer though, as it would look so nice with layered up necklaces and beach hair. I have a brown feather patterned version of this dress from Oh My Love last Summer and it is so lovely on!

Everyone needs a few simplistic smock dresses to chuck on for a day at uni with a nice big cardigan and a few necklaces. I'm sick of buying cheap dresses and them falling apart or shrinking after a few washes, so I think I'm gonna treat myself to this one. It doesn't break the bank but would be of a high enough quality to not need to be replaced! I love the curved seam line too :)

I think that if kimonos are layered up enough they can be worn in the Winter without being freezing. I love the print of this black and white floral kimono, and it would look so nice with a long sleeved polo neck and skirt!

This is probably my favourite item out of this wishlist. The simplistic lace insert detailing down the middle front of the dress is so pretty and I love the lace hem too. I'm very tempted to order this as my New Years Eve dress! :)

I can't seem to go a wishlist nowadays without adding in a pair of black chunky heeled boots. I know I need to invest in a pair eventually, but finding the perfect pair is had because there are so many lovely ones out at the moment! I love the heavy tread sole on these and they could be worn all year round :)

Christmas gift ideas #2 - Ryan Gosling edition!

Okay so if you know me, you know I'm slightly obsessed with Ryan Gosling. I'm not sure when or how it happened (after the Notebook, before Drive and Place Beyond the Pines) but it happened and he is just gorgeous. His character in Place Beyond the Pines was probably what tipped me over the edge though - Ryan Gosling covered in tattoos and riding a motorbike... perfection!

Anyways, I was recently contacted by a company called Mr Nutcase asking if I would like to review an iPhone case on my blog so I jumped at the chance. I had been meaning to get a new iPhone case for a little while now and I was allowed to put a picture of anything onto it. So guess what I chose, yes a nice big picture of Ryan Gosling so I can look at him whenever I put my phone down.

Mr Nutcase personalised iPhone case - £14.95*

At only £14.95 including postage, I think that for creating your own iPhone case, this is an absolute bargain, and a great Christmas present too! It could literally be the perfect present for anyone - a picture of the family for your mum, a picture of all your best friends as a leaving present for someone at uni, the list goes on! I've had this phone case on my iPhone since the day it arrived, and I've had so many compliments on Ryan's lovely face :)

Secondly, I was contacted by the lovely people at Roo's Beach about reviewing a product from their website. After browsing for a good while, I came across so many cute and reasonably priced goodies! Everything from stocking fillers to clothing and accessories, but I knew that I had to pick a notebook of Ryan haha!

Roo's Beach Ryan Gosling 'Hey Girl' notebook - £7.00*

This journal makes me laugh every time I look at it! The cute/funny quotes on each page are hilarious and there are even some pages where you can fill in what he's saying yourself. If you know a Ryan Gosling enthusiast like myself, then at only £7.00 this is definitely one for their stocking!

Let's just take this moment to appreciate how good looking Ryan is in The Place Beyond the Pines. And in general. But even more so with tattoos.

Who would you have put on an iPhone case?
Or would you just have to get Ryan yourself?

Wednesday wishlist #11 - And an excluse 20% discount off the black lace cami!

This is my second of probably many A/W wishlists as there are so many gorgeous things to buy at the moment! Even though I'm skint and I have nowhere nice to wear any new clothes because I'm a third year fashion student who is constantly tied to my sewing machine, it doesn't mean I can't window shop/procrastinate and make loads of wishlists of the things I plan to buy when I finish uni and get a full time job!

Primark doesn't actually have a website that you can buy off yet, so I just linked to the current website where you can see new products and the prices. I really wasn't too fussed about these tartan dresses when I first saw them, but the more I've seen them on people, the more I've decided I'd actually quite like one!

I've been after a few black staple pieces to go into my Autumn/Winter wardrobe that I can just grab and layer in a rush but that will still look nice. I love the simplicity of this dress yet the lace insert and triangle back are just gorgeous!

Edit - Since posting this blog post, I was contacted by 'In Love With Fashion' who have given me and my readers an exclusive discount code for this black cami dress! Get 20% off with discount code 'floraldanielle' - ORDERED!

I've also been on the lookout for some high waisted tailored trousers for this Winter as the leggings and tights just aren't keeping me warm! I'm really fussy when it comes to trousers and can never find any that I like, and now that I have, they're nearly £50 boo!

I've recently become obsessed with silver jewellery (as previously mentioned here) and I've been trying to start a little collection of real silver jewellery as I hate having to take my rings off when I wash my hands just so that they don't rust! The clear stone is the April birthstone and I actually love how it looks.

So these boots would definitely have to be an investment buy, and I'd have to save up for them, but ever since I've seen them on Lily Melrose's blog, I just cannot stop thinking about them! I have a few pairs of black boots but they don't seem to keep my feet warm in the Winter and always let the rain in, where as these look like they would be warm and sturdy! Maybe one day ;)

Okayyyy so this would definitely be another investment buy, but how cute is it?! I have always loved the rings from this company, but after seeing Sammi from Beauty Crush wear hers, I realised that it's actually a lot daintier and cute than I thought, which makes me want it even more!

I've been lusting over all the lovely fluffy cardigans on the Missguided website for a while now, and I've decided I'm gonna have to take the plunge and buy at least one! I think I like this one the best because it's long sleeved and looks so, so snuggly and warm.

Our final Halloween at uni - Zombie nurse costume!

I hope you all had an amazing Halloween! Sadly this is the last Halloween we'll all be having at uni cos we're in our third year, so we made sure we made the most of it! One of our neighbours had a house party, and we live in four level houses, so they made it into an epic 'Tower of Doom' and had challenges on each level, including pitch black tunnels, wheels of misfortunes and horrible shots! It was literally so much fun and I want to dress up every single day! I ended up going as a zombie nurse and only wore one contact lens which actually gave a really creepy effect!

Nurse outfit - Smiffy's Fancy Dress
Hair extensions - Glam Belles*

I've recently been wearing these gorgeous hair extensions and I love my new longer hair! I shall get a review up on the blog for you guys soon :)

Wednesday wishlist #11 - A French Connection wishlist :)

Once in a while it's fun to do an expensive wishlist. The kind where if you won the lottery, you would go out and buy it all the next day, but right now you'd have to save up for it! With this freezing weather approaching, I've been wearing my leather jacket non-stop with my big fur scarf, and I'd love to get myself some more leather, fur and knitwear!

How gorgeous is this coat!? If I had unlimited funds I would buy this straight away. I love that it's half fur and I love all black coats. It looks like it would be so snuggly for the walks to uni too!

I'm absolutely in love with the colour of this jumper. I have lots of vintage granny jumpers but I don't have many nice ones which could be worn for a more formal occasion, and this would look so lovely for a Christmas meal with a statement necklace.

This dress really makes me think of some you could wear to a Christmas party and I'm so excited for the Christmas season! My favourite style of dress on the website are the sleeveless dresses from French Connection

I need to eventually invest in a real leather belt as all the cheap black ones I buy seem to fall apart! I love the simplicity and the colours in this one, and as its real leather it would last forever!

I've always been a bit too scared to even try on, let alone buy a leather skirt, but I have totally changed my mind on them and decided that I love them! I'm gonna keep my eye out for one this Winter and maybe even buy it! I love the matte look of them, and it would look so lovely with the pink jumper!

I'm loving fur nowadays, faux of course. I have a giant brown fur scarf that I wear most days, and I have just ordered a big brown coat from Asos which I'm excited to receive. This is so much cuter than the usual boring black clutch bag I own, now who wants to give me the £100 to get it?!

Sunday summary #6

I haven't actually done a Sunday Summary post since the middle of Summer, which was ages ago! I have been super busy with my fashion course this year, which I'm loving but it really is hard work. I'm only into week 3 but it feels like I've been back and working hard for months! Alot of these photos are 'fashion student' photos so sorry if they're all a bit same-y, but that's literally my life right now haha!

Me, Amy and all the other fashion girls had a girly food and drinks night at the American Diner :)
The fabrics I found on my trip to London, I love them all, how am I gonna pick the final ones?!
This is what most of my days consist of - fabric manipulating in the studio!

I can't stop pinning on Pinterest recently too (follow me here) and this made me laugh so much!
I've been trying out some ideas on the laser cutter at uni, how cute are these paisley cut-outs?
After a long day of uni work, I love sitting down to a Ryan Gosling movie ;)

Coming up with fashion designs using jellyfish as inspiration.

The new ADTR album has been getting me through the days recently!

I want to start adding in my favourite songs or music videos of the week into my Sunday Summary posts. I absolutely love the video to the song, it's so cute and funny at the same time!

Wednesday wishlist #10 - The first A/W wishlist this year!

Autumn is definitely here, with the footpaths covered in brown and yellow leaves, so it's probably time I got my hands on some velvet and fur! I've been so busy with uni work that I've not really had any time to go shopping or lust over any new clothes, but I've still come across these goodies and it's making me so excited for Winter and Christmas!

I wouldn't usually spend this much money on a coat, but it would definitely be an investment and could be worn year after year. I've been looking for the perfect for coat for months, and this might be the one! I'm gonna pop into town when I have some time to try it on and the student discount at New Look always tempts me ;)

I'm sure you've all heard of MUA make up by now, but if you haven't they're a super cheap brand exclusively to Superdrug. I have previously invested in a few of the eyeshadow palettes and I'm in love with them. I've been meaning to get a powder highlighter for a while now, as I do love my Benefit High Beam, but I wanted a change. This has been compared to both Benefit and Mac in how good it is, so for only £3 you can't really go wrong!

I am literally in love with this kimono! I fell in love with kimonos over the Summer and thought they would only end up being a Summer thing, but this one is gorgeous and I could see myself wearing it to a nice little Christmas meal. I was obsessed with velvet and devore, but then I went off it, and now I'm obsessed again! I'm not too keen on leopard print though, so I might try find myself a fabric and try making myself one from scratch!

I recently bought a black lace bra from Topshop and now I don't wanna go back! They're literally the comfiest things ever, and not too expensive! I love the colour of this one, it's really Autumny :)

I lalalalove this top! The fringing, the velvet... It's a bit more pricey than I would usually spend on a top so I need to go in store to try it on and see if it's as lovely in the flesh!

I wouldn't usually ever spend £30 on a ring, but this is literally the coolest thing ever! It opens up so you can keep something tiny in it (or some poison obviously!) I really want to try and find myself a cheaper version of something like this!

The shade of this nail varnish looks like the perfect Christmas nail polish. I love the material on the lid too! I found this on the Motel Rocks website randomly, so I might have to make a purchase next time I order from there. (Also, get 20% off MotelRocks.com using discount code 'floraldanielle')

Gorgeous flowers from Bloom and Wild, that fit through your letterbox!

I'm so glad that I have come across Bloom and Wild flowers. They are the perfect gift for Mother's Day, birthdays or just a little thank you. They're not just like any old flower delivery service though, they are packaged up so that they can be sent through your letterbox! At a very reasonable price, and with gorgeous flower designs, I will definitely be keeping them in mind when I want to send my mum a little something!

"Fresh flowers. Designed with love to fit through your letterbox."

I was so intrigued to see how on earth you could fit a bouquet of flowers through your letterbox, but I now know! They are individually cut and placed carefully into the box, and then wrapped in the cutest way! The come with a little instructions book, some plant food and it's all wrapped up in a little ribbon!

This is how the flowers first looked when I opened them and I thought they looked so lovely as they were. I wasn't sure if the greenery would open up or if they would stay shut, but I followed the instructions for a few days and they looked gorgeous in my uni room.

After a couple of days, I woke up totally surprised that my bouquet had bloomed with massive pink flowers! I had mentioned that I liked the colour pink but I just assumed that I had been sent purple as it was the closest colour they had! I couldn't believe it, and the bouquet looked even more lovely than it had done before!

How gorgeous do they look in my uni room?! They literally match perfectly! :) It has been two weeks since I have been sent my Bloom and Wild flowers, and they are still sat on my window sill!

Wednesday wishlist #9 - Sun, moon and stars

I've been obsessing over lovely celestial sun and moon print clothing for a while now, and I've managed to find so many lovely bits in the high street and online that I would like to purchase! I really want to get a sun and moon tattoo at some point, but I still haven't decided whether I want them together or separately on my body. I've got a while to think about it though, as I have no money for tattoos until I've finished my degree unfortunately! My jaw actaully dropped when I saw all the sun and moon print clothing at Motel and I knew that I had to have at least one of them in my wardrobe. I'm also loving all the stone and boho style rings out at the moment and I know I'm going to start building up a big collection of those!

I've been looking for some nice patches to start my collection and to sew onto my denim jacket and gilet, and this one is perfect! My boyfriend got some lovely ones from the London Tattoo Convention which I am definitely going to go to next year!

I absolutely love the look and colour of moonstone and the detailing on this ring is gorgeous too! As I've said before, I used to only wear gold jewellery, but recently I just seem to be drawn to nothing but silver! I want to have enough rings to cover all of my fingers and to wear them all the time everyday :)

I saw that Lucy from Empty Casket posted a picture of this ring last week as a preview and I knew that I had to have it. When it was put online and I saw that it was only £6, I knew even more that I had to have it!

As you all know I interned for Waiste Clothing over the Summer, and it was super duper fun. I was there through the whole transformation and relaunch, and that included making lots of fun jewellery. I love this necklace in particular because the little crescent moons are so cute, but all of the new stock is amazing so make sure you go check it out!

I've been looking for some patterned trousers for ages now and I just can't seem to find a pair that I love. I really like the colour and pattern on these. I love the dark pattern at the top and around the ankle cuffs and it goes so well with the rest of the trousers. They might have to be an investment ;)

Get 20% off all of MotelRocks.com with discount code 'floraldanielle' :)
I recently ordered the moon and sun print skirt and crop top today and I'm so in love with them! There are a million things on MotelRocks.com right now that I want to purchase at some point (thank goodness for the discount code!) but this pattern is definitely my favourite thing I've seen in ages! This dress is currently out of stock, but the second it comes back, it's mine!

Get 20% off all of MotelRocks.com with discount code 'floraldanielle' :)
I love the thought of wearing this long sleeved top underneath a black strappy dress or with a fur gilet. It's literally like the perfect Autumn top and the print is gorgeous too!

New Look wishlist :)

So yet again it's that time of year when I go back to my uni, and I know that I will be returning to uni soon, and get an urge to buy a whole new wardrobe of clothes! New year at uni = new clothes to wear everyday, doesn't it?! I'm really excited for all the A/W clothing and for the weather to get a bit colder so I can get back all the fur and black out from my wardrobe again! I don't know if you know, but I used to work at New Look for five years. From the age of 16 to 21, it was my way to make an extra bit of money, and the discount was a massive bonus ;)

Black fluffy cropped jumper - £17.99
This jumper is oh so 'Clueless' and I love it! It might be a bit boring to get it in black, but I think it would go with so much, and could be dressed up or down! I would definitely get it in white or light pink too though :)

Cream cord teardrop necklace - £14.99
I absolutely love this style of necklace and I think it would go perfectly with this whole outfit. I wasn't too keen on the statement necklace trend when it first came out, but now I can't get enough of it!

Silver moon and star ring - £2.99
How cute is this little ring?! It really reminds me of Dixi or Empty Casket, and is so super cheap! I think I'd wear it as a little thumb ring everyday :)

 Black leather backpack - £22.99
Adding a bit more 'Clueless' to the outfit is this little leather backpack. I love a 90s backpack and this one looks lovely and would be big enough to use for uni most days!

 Black cut-out ankle boots - £29.99
Okay now these are my absolute favourites! I've been on the lookout for some Coltrane dupes and I think these might have to be the ones that I take the plunge for! At not even £30, they're really cheap for boots anyways, let alone ones this gorgeous!

 Black floral bra - £12.99
I love the intricate detailing on this bra and the little pants to match are so cute! I've had a massive clear out of underwear (tmi), tights, leggings, basic tops etc so I might treat myself to a few new bras.

My new favourite thing is to team a strappy top with a basic long sleeved top underneath. I've never been able to wear really strappy tops without a bra as I'm pretty big chested but this way you can still wear your normal bra and still have the delicacy of the strapped dress too. It also means that you don't have to put all your lovely little Summer dresses away because you can still keep warm in them by wearing them over a long sleeved black or white tee! I'm loving all the day dresses at New Look at the moment and will definitely be purchasing a few for my wardrobe!

Grey burnout long sleeved tee - £12.99
As I said before, long sleeved tees are the way forward this Winter so that you can still get away with wearing your cute little dresses over the top and layering them up to keep warm! Teamed with a leather jacket, this outfit would be so perfect for an A/W night out :)

Bedroom decor inspiration #2

So last time I posted a bedroom decor inspiration blog post, everyone seemed to love it, and I thought I should post another one now as I am currently moving back into my university room. Over the past few days I've been unpacking and organising my whole bedroom. As this is my third year at uni, it will be really stressful so I'm trying to get my bedroom as junk-free as possible including taking loads to the charity shop and sending a suitcase home of things that I don't need with my boyfriend! I also have lots of blog posts coming up this week including reviews and photos from Brownstock festival (if I can find my camera cable!) because I haven't been posting much recently as I've been so busy!

I've been addicted to Pinterest again recently. I go through stages of checking it every single day, to stages of not using it for months, but right now I'm on it every day! I get alot of inspiration from other people on Pinterest itself, but if I see something I like on Tumblr or blogs I will pin that photo onto the relevant Pinterest board so I can remember it for later :)

I absolutely love these mandala style Indian throws, and I think they're such a lovely way to brighten up a plain bedroom without having to paint. We're not allowed to change our uni bedrooms and they're bright white, so I have put up a huge elephant throw on one wall and it's made it so much more homely! The colours on this one though are absolutely gorgeous :)

 (image sources: Tumblr and Pinterest)

As a fashion design student, I am constantly blue-tacking up inspirational photos onto my wall. I love how the image on the left is all separately pinned to the wall and has bits of fabric and paintings included. If I permanently lived in my uni room and was allowed to do anything to it, I would definitely paint myself a blackboard wall! Even just to remind me to pay my rent, or buy some milk, it's such a nice way to have a blackboard! And it looks great with inspirational images stuck on top of it too!

(image sources: Pinterest and Pinterest)

I really want a sewing room after seeing this picture on Pinterest! I love the idea of using an empty frame and hanging all of your threads, tape measure and scissors all in one place where they're easy to grab! I'm definitely going to have to make a corner of a room like this when I get my own home as this is just so cosy and cute! I also love the look of the neon sellotape in this simple moodboard. Sometimes moodboards can look a bit boring and bland, and especially when it comes to uni work, you want to make it as exciting as possible so I'm gonna try and find some neon tape to add some colour to my moodboards!

When I first saw this image, I thought that the clothes were pattern paper, and I thought that this would be perfect for a fashion students bedroom! Just get a huge set of hooks, and hang whatever you currently need on it. It's like a giant 3D moodboard including clothes, patterns, fabric samples etc! I really want to do this now! I love the big chunky empty frames too, I just love the whole mis-matched look of this :)

How cute are these?! I imagine that you make them by buying those little plastic animals that we all had as kids, gluing them to the lid of a mason jar, and spray painting the whole lid gold, or any colour you like! As an avid fan of pigs, I am definitely going to be creating some pig ones at some point! Mason jars are so cheap and easy to get hold of too, they're only like £1/2 in Ikea and Hobby Craft :)

(image sources: Pinterest and Pinterest)

I absolutely love love love the idea of putting all of your perfumes on show in one place - on top of a cake stand! They would also look super cute on one of the three tier cake stands going from biggest at the bottom to smallest at the top! I love the colours in the image on the right, especially the wooden desk with the white walls. I love the buddha head and the inspirational moodboard too :)

Lastly, but not leastly, these photos were taken from my instagram and are pictures from my actual uni bedroom. I've been trying to organise everything really neatly and so far it is going well! The cacti are a set of three from Ikea which I love, and most of the pots on my window sill are from Ikea too, and are perfect for storing all of your beauty products!
